in a world where everyone
is watching everything
every waking moment
of every single day.
you would expect we would be wise.
a bunch of well-cultured people
exploring knowledge in earnest

disregard our sanity

learn whatever we want.

fixate on them
get bored with them
and find new things
to learn and forget.
that is our human experience.

learn to love the advertisements
and feel lucky seeing them.
they wanted to see you.
they needed to see you.
they paid to see you.
to pull the strings in your mind.
you make a beautiful puppet.
so dance dance dance
buy buy buy
and give them their show.

information has become too cheap
it’s reached the fast fashion stage
so vapid and void
so flashy and fun
all of it trash
but trash is all that there is
so we consume consume consume
ingest ingest ingest
every ounce of trash
our starving eyeballs can find.

all of it.
all of humanity’s information
is rotting before our eyes.
